Yes, the SAMi Kit comes with a dedicated SAMi router that is pre-configured to work with the provided iPad. The purpose of the SAMi router is to create a dedicated WiFi network just for the SAMi camera. This ensures that you will not have a drop in WiFi signal if your home network goes down for any reason. This is great if you have slow or spotty internet or have too many devices running on your home WiFi. 

You have three options when purchasing a router:

SAMi Kit

You can purchase a SAMi Kit which includes a SAMi router that is preconfigured to work with the SAMi-3 camera and provide iPad. The SAMi Kit comes with everything you need and is ready to use out of the box. 

SAMi Upgrade to Kit

If you already own a SAMi-3 camera but want to upgrade to the SAMi Kit, you can purchase the upgrade bundle that includes a SAMi Router and an iPad. You can pair the router and iPad to your existing SAMi-3 Camera and you have a complete SAMi Kit!

SAMi Router Only

If you want to purchase a SAMi Router to pair with your existing SAMi-3 camera and iOS device, you can opt in to buy the SAMi Router on it's own. You can configure the SAMi Router with your existing devices and be travel ready should you need to take SAMi with you on the go!
