The easiest way to save recordings is to email them. While playing a recording touch the Email button.

An alternative is to copy (download) them using a computer. This is faster if you want to save a large number of recordings. Additionally, emailing splits longer recordings into multiple parts. Using your computer saves the recordings intact.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING AN APPLE COMPUTER:

1. Connect your iOS device to your computer using a Lightning USB (charging) cord.
2. If you are prompted to “Trust this computer” or “Trust this iPhone/iPod/iPad” choose yes.
3. Start the Finder app on the computer and select your iOS device on the right hand side, under “Locations”.
4. Select the “Files” tab in the upper right.
5. Click on the right facing triangle just to the left of the SAMi3 app.

The recording files will be listed (this may take a few moments to appear). The recordings are named using the format:

ID_M_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS-LL.mov

For example: 7CDD9069E6CE_M_2016-08-20_13-43-48_38.mov is a recording from the camera 7CDD9069E6CE and was made on August 20 2016 at 13:43:48 and is 38 seconds long.

Important: There are other files and folders stored here as well. Do not delete or modify these, if you do the app may stop working properly.

6. Select the recordings you want to save and drag them to the location you want to copy them to.

1. Start iTunes on your computer. If you have not installed iTunes you can get it here.
2. Connect your iOS device to the computer using a Lightning USB (charging) cord.
3. If you are prompted to “Trust this computer” or “Trust this iPhone/iPod/iPad” choose yes.
4. Open the iOS device in iTunes by clicking on the device icon:

5. Click on “File Sharing” on the left.
6. Select the SAMi3 app. The recording files will be listed on the right.
