Important - If you're resetting your camera because you've been experiencing disconnections, live view interruptions, or any other issues related to connectivity - know that a quick fix is to connect the SAMi Camera to your Router via ethernet cable permanently. A hardwired connection will always be more stable and faster than wireless.
Steps to reset your SAMi camera
IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU BEGIN THIS RESET, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANY VPN ENABLED ON YOUR PHONE TURNED OFF!
If you are experiencing any issues with your camera, sometimes a reset can fix those problems. If you have a SAMi Router or Complete Kit, please follow the How to reset your SAMi Camera and pair it with your SAMi Router - (Router Kit & SAMi Complete Kit Owners).

Important: Make sure you have an ethernet cord available and that you are next to your home WiFi router with your camera
1. Remove the SAMi camera from the SAMi App. Open the SAMi App, go to the settings gear in the bottom right of the screen, and then go to Camera Settings. Under Camera Status, hit "Remove". You will receive an error message that says:
Select "Remove"
2. Now, go back to the home screen of the SAMi App.
3. Make sure your SAMi Camera is unplugged with no power.
4. Next, take an ethernet cord and connect it to the LAN or Ethernet port on the back of your home WiFi Router. Then plug the remaining end of the ethernet cable in to your SAMi Camera.
Important:
1. This will NOT work for a WAN port or a port that says Internet!
2. If you are using a home mesh network (example: EERO), make sure you plug into one of the closest mesh routers and NOT your home internet service provider's router.
5. Next, plug your SAMi camera into a power source next to your home WiFi router. The power light on the front of the camera should turn red and then green. This can take up to 2 minutes.
6. Once the camera light is green, use an opened paperclip (or small pointy object) to briefly press the reset button in the hole on the side. Watch for the power light to go off for a couple of seconds before illuminating red and then green again. It can take a few minutes for the camera light to go green so be patient. If the power light does not turn off when you press the reset button, try again and make sure you're pressing the reset button in enough. If the power light does not turn off when you press it, please submit a support request here.
7. Once your camera power light has finally turned green, open the SAMi App. You will be prompted to set up a SAMi-3 Camera. Follow the on-screen instructions and your SAMi is now successfully reset and paired with your home WIFi once again. Now, force quit the SAMi App.
8. You can now remove the ethernet cable and relocate the camera back to its original location. When you plug the camera back in, the camera will automatically reconnect to your home WiFi but could take up to 5 minutes. Wait for the camera light to turn from red to green after you plug it back in.
9. Finally, open the SAMi App once the camera light has turned green to ensure the camera has paired and your live view is working.
You have now successfully reset your SAMi Camera!
