If you don’t see the SAMi-5G Wi-Fi network on your iPhone or iPad, don’t worry — this usually means the router just needs a quick check. Follow the steps below to get your SAMi network showing again.
SAMi systems use one of three router models:
Netgear (very old model, no longer sold)
Linksys (newer, no longer sold)
TP-Link (current model)
Step 1: Confirm the Router Has Power
Make sure the router’s power cord is securely plugged in.
Check that the router lights are on.
If your router has a power switch or button, flip or press it to the ON position.
💡 Tip: If there are no lights, try another outlet or power adapter.
Step 2: Check the WPS Button
If the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button is pressed accidentally, the SAMi-5G network can temporarily disappear.
To fix this:
Ensure the router is plugged in and powered on.

Locate the WPS button — on some routers, it’s hidden under a SAMi sticker labeled “DO NOT RESET.”
Gently peel back the sticker to reveal the button.
Be careful not to damage it — you can reapply the sticker afterward.
Press and hold the WPS button until the router lights turn off and then back on.
Wait 1–2 minutes and check your Wi-Fi list again for SAMi-5G.
Step 3: Check the Network Name
If you see a Wi-Fi network name like Linksys_XXXXXX or TP-Link_XXXX, the router has been reset to factory settings.
This means the SAMi configuration has been erased and needs to be restored.

Step 4: Still Not Seeing SAMi-5G?
