Proper camera placement helps ensure Sami has a clear view of the area you want to monitor. Before permanently mounting your camera, we recommend connecting it to Sami and checking the live video in the app so you can confirm the angle and coverage.

Choose a location

Position your Sami Camera so that:

• The sleeping area is clearly visible.
• The person you are monitoring stays within the camera's field of view.
• Furniture, blankets, crib rails, or other objects do not unnecessarily block the view.
• The camera is secure and unlikely to be bumped, moved, or knocked over.
• The power cord can be safely routed away from the sleeping area.

We also recommend checking the camera view with the room lights off to make sure you are happy with the nighttime view before finalizing the placement.

Option 1: Use the included mounting bracket

Your Sami Camera includes a mounting bracket that can be used to securely position the camera.

Once mounted, open the Sami app and check the live view. Adjust the camera angle as needed until the area you want to monitor is clearly visible.

Secure the power cord

Use the included wire guides to help keep the camera cord secure and routed safely.

Option 2: Mount the camera on a wall or ceiling

The Sami Camera can also be mounted directly to a wall or ceiling.

After mounting, check the live view in the Sami app and adjust the camera until you have the coverage you want.

Option 3: Use a Sami Camera Floor Stand

A floor stand can be useful when wall mounting is not practical or when you want more flexibility in positioning the camera.

Option 4: Use a Sami Camera Clamp

If you purchased a Sami Camera Clamp, follow our Clamp setup instructions here:

Make sure the clamp is attached to a sturdy surface and that the camera cannot easily be bumped or moved.

Check your camera view

Once your camera is positioned:

1. Open the Sami app.
2. Confirm that the entire area you want to monitor is visible.
3. Check the view with the room lights both on and off.
4. Adjust the camera angle if needed.
5. Make sure the camera and power cord are secure.

If you reposition the bed, crib, camera, or nearby furniture in the future, we recommend checking the camera view again.

Strangulation Hazard: Keep the camera and power cord out of the baby's reach. Never place the camera or cords within three feet (one meter) of a crib.

Overheating Risk: Keep the camera clear of curtains, bedding, and other materials that could restrict airflow.

Only use the Sami Camera with the supplied AC power adapter.
